The Bridge Program allows Home Care Aide license holders to advance their careers, further their education, and become Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC). Home Care Aides can take this program for 4 days for a total of 38 hours. Students will also be required to undergo a fifth and final day with North Care Training to take their state exam through WABON. The program includes 38 hours of theory, lectures, skills lab, and clinical.
The fee for this course includes the program fee, book, skills state testing fee, and the required blood pressure kit.

(Students who have DSHS/WA approved background checks from their employers are welcome to request copies for prerequisites to avoid fees in running background checks)

*Please note: All required documentation and payments must be submitted no later than noon 10 Days before the first day of class in order to attend.*
Students that do not complete the required documentation by the deadline & prerequisites for the course will be dropped from the class if payment received prior to documentation requirement.
Dropped students will be eligible 1 time for a discounted re-enrollment rate of 50% of current enrollment fees before rescheduling to another open session within 90 days of the original class.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please plan accordingly for travel times & scheduling arrangements. Classes will begin on time.
Please bring your bridge textbook; NA Candidate Handbook and manual blood pressure monitor to each class with you.
Exams must be passed during each class session in order to retrieve a certificate. Students must receive an 80% or higher to pass.
Students need to be ready to take/pass a skills exam with NorthCare Training as well as a written exam online with Credentia based on the textbook on day 1 of class.
Students should be aware artificial nails are not allowed at the clinical site. Colored nails are fine as long as they are short.
Original class sessions may be refunded minus a $150 non-refundable admin and registration fee with 14 or more days of written notice to the first day of class. The cost of books is nonrefundable & an additional $60 fee for books will be deducted if books were previously picked up.
One rescheduling to another open session within 90 days of the original class regardless of the reason is allowed at discounted re-enrollment rate of 50% of current enrollment fees if 7 or more days’ written notice is received.
Students that are dropped from class for failure to complete required documentation/prerequisites for the course by the hard deadline will be allowed 1 reschedule to another open session within 90 days of the original class at discounted re-enrollment rate of 50% of current enrollment fees.
Please advise that the clinical site will be dedicated to a nursing home setting and will take place on the last day of the program. Students are responsible of timely attendance and transportation to and from the clinical site.
State NAC Skills Exam will be taken with NorthCare Training exactly one week from the last day of training.
State NAC Written Exam will be taken online by the student via Crdentia only.
Students will learn examination requirements and additional information during classes.
All students are required to apply for their NAC-CNA Credential License numbers during the program. Please note that this fee is required and will cost $85.00 to fulfill. NorthCare Training will send more information via email on how to fill out the application. NorthCare Training staff will also be available during a scheduled program class session to go over and help students apply for the license.
Please note that the NAC-CNA license numbers are required to take the state skills exam. If a student does not apply in time, they will not be able to test for the State NAC Skills Exam with NorthCare Training.
